Licensed Vocational Nurse - Clinic

About the Role

This position provides patient care under the supervision of physicians or registered nurses, following established standards and practices. The role involves performing basic patient care duties, assisting with examinations and procedures, and supporting clinic operations.

Responsibilities

• Performing vital signs, weighing patients, and collecting specimens, including phlebotomy.
• Assisting providers with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Managing patient flow, scheduling tests, and documenting patient information.
• Administering medications and immunizations as ordered.
• Cleaning and restocking exam rooms and supplies, maintaining sterile techniques.
• Handling clerical duties such as chart retrieval, filing, and processing routine forms.
• Answering phones, assisting with patient calls, and supporting medication refills.
• Participating in meetings and training sessions to stay current with protocols.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited practical or vocational nursing program.
• Valid LVN license in the state of employment or a compact license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to perform clinical procedures, maintain sterile techniques, and handle clerical tasks efficiently.
