Licensed Social Worker/Licensed Mental Health Counselor/ Behavioral Health Urgent Care/FT/Days
About the role
We are hiring for Licensed Social Worker/Licensed Mental Health Counselor/Behavioral Health Urgent Care positions. This role involves providing support to individuals with Mental Health or Substance Abuse diagnoses in an office-based setting. Duties include crisis assessment, discharge planning, care coordination, and risk assessments.
Responsibilities
- Perform case management functions of linking and arranging for services and referrals
- Support individuals with Mental Health or Substance Abuse issues in a crisis center setting
- Complete crisis assessment, discharge planning, and care coordination with stakeholders
- Complete risk assessments such as the Columbia Suicide Severity Scale and the Violence Risk Assessment
- Utilize de-escalation techniques and solution-focused interventions
- Work closely with other clinical/professional staff to maintain communication and provide feedback
- Complete all documentation accurately within the current working shift
Requirements
- Must meet the requirements of a Fully or Associate Licensed Social Worker or Mental Health Counselor
- Physical requirements: Regularly required to lift 10 lbs, pull 10 lbs, squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop; must be able to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; must be able to stand and walk; must demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level requiring to work on hands, knees, bending, standing and lifting; vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision; must be able to talk and hear
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor Degree or Master’s Degree or Higher
- License, Provisional License, Certificate, Registration, Permit issued by governing board regulating human service profession
Skills
- Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques
- Ability to complete risk assessments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in CPR
