Licensed Psychotherapist – Child and Adolescent
This position will be in the MU Healthcare Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic.
Responsibilities
- Independently assess, diagnose, counsel, and treat the child and adolescent patient population.
- Interview, assess, and provide individual counseling utilizing evidence-based modalities to clients experiencing personal, social, educational, or vocational problems.
- Evaluate and modify treatment plans based on individual client evaluations.
- Collaborate with physicians and other specialists in the referral of clients.
- Primarily a clinical position, with potential opportunities for teaching, supervision, and academic work as they arise.
Schedule
Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Requirements
- Master's degree in social work, mental health nursing, counseling education, psychology, or a related area, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Missouri licensure as a Clinical Social Worker, Psychologist, Professional Counselor, or Certified Clinical Specialist in Mental Health Nursing.
- One (1) year of clinical therapeutic experience in a medical setting. (Note: For some positions, three (3) years of clinical therapeutic experience in a medical setting working with a broad range of social, psychological, or behavioral issues may substitute for licensure/certification. At least one of the three years must be post-masters.)
Pay
Salary Range: $59,321.60 - $78,041.60 annually
