Licensed Practical Nurse - Neuroscience Med/Surg - Full-Time Night

About the role

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide patient-centered nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized care based on a delegated plan, addressing physical, emotional, cultural, spiritual, psychosocial, and educational needs.
• Monitor and document patient status, including vital signs, dressings, drains, and lab results.
• Communicate patient observations and changes to healthcare team members.
• Maintain accurate and confidential medical records.
• Utilize specialized equipment for data collection and patient assessments.
• Administer and document medications following policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited LPN program recognized by the State Board of Nursing.
• At least one year of LPN experience or equivalent training such as residency programs or enrolled in LPN-to-RN transition programs.
• Current LPN license recognized by the NCSBN Compact or the state of practice.

Additional Details

This is a non-management role reporting to a supervisor or manager. Work shift primarily during night hours. Located at Blount Memorial Hospital in the Neuroscience Med/Surg department.
