About the role
A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide compassionate patient care on a neurology floor with moderate to high acuity.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to deliver care under supervision or direction of a licensed RN or authorized prescriber.
- Perform neurological assessments, monitor mental status, and manage complex conditions such as stroke, seizures, and traumatic brain injury.
- Assist with mobility, fall prevention, medication management, swallowing precautions, and coordinate multidisciplinary care.
- Maintain patient rights and confidentiality while ensuring quality care and safety.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent education and licensure.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform physical tasks required for patient care.
- Current Basic Life Support certification; LPN-IV certification required within 3 months if applicable.
- Valid LPN license in the state of practice, meeting all licensing requirements.
Qualifications
