Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Full-Time Night Shift (NOC) - Eventide on Eighth Care Center!

Eventide on Eighth Care Center is seeking an LPN for full-time night shifts. Set 12-hour shift (6:30 pm – 7:00 am) with every third holiday rotation. Eventide will reimburse the fee to obtain a border-state license upon hire for ND nurses. $5/hour night shift differential and $2.00/hour weekend shift differential added to base wage.

About the Role

The Charge Nurse ensures the highest degree of nursing care is provided in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, as well as Eventide's philosophy, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents’ needs and health status through physical assessments, observations, and interviews continuously.
• Provide individual attention to encourage each resident’s ability to maintain or attain the highest physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.
• Observe and follow residents’ plans of care; update and make appropriate changes as needed (including interdisciplinary care plans, physician orders, and C.N.A/NA-R care plans).
• Administer medications and treatments; monitor both for effectiveness.
• Provide direct nursing care to residents as needed, following established policies, procedures, and standards.
• Comply with rules and regulations set forth by the Minnesota or North Dakota Department of Health and the Centers for Medicare/Medicaid Services.
• Provide accurate documentation in residents’ electronic medical records according to established policies and standards.
• Assist in orientation/training of new team members.
• Report resident needs, problems, and observations regarding residents’ conditions to the Charge Nurse and/or attending physician.
• Ensure adequate staffing levels for scheduled shifts and correct inadequate staffing appropriately.
• Monitor activities and functions of subordinate staff, including participating in the disciplinary process.
• Ensure subordinate staff complete work thoroughly and accurately within scheduled shifts and according to established policies and standards.
• Provide information, education, and support for assigned residents and their families.
• Communicate residents’ needs to resident care staff in the unit as appropriate.
• Interact with physicians and other health care facilities as needed.
• Update nursing skills and knowledge by attending in-services, continuing education programs, and staff meetings.
• Coordinate and participate in resident care conferences; communicate information effectively to families.
• Assume responsibility for promptly reporting incidents or evidence of abuse, neglect, or violation of residents’ rights per policy.
• Manage electronic timecards daily.
• Occasionally carry out or assist with other tasks beyond listed duties to support quality resident care.

Requirements

• Active MN LPN license or ability to obtain one upon hire.
• Experience in Long Term Care preferred but not required.

Pay

Competitive estimated pay range of $29 – $32.48 per hour for LPNs, based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials are available for select positions, paid based on employment status and shift worked.
