Position Overview

Seeking a dedicated LPN/LVN to provide compassionate pediatric nursing care in a nurturing environment for children with complex medical needs. Under supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), you will ensure the health, safety, and well-being of each child, supporting their growth and development. This full-time role offers opportunities to make a meaningful impact through high-quality clinical care, collaboration, and family support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Care & Monitoring: Observe, assess, document patient status, implement physician orders, and communicate updates.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Build strong relationships with the healthcare team, assess family needs, and provide education and emotional support to families.
  • Leadership & Professional Growth: Mentor new staff, stay informed on pediatric trends, and ensure compliance with policies and standards.
  • Skill Application: Administer medications, manage feeding tubes and IV therapies, respond to emergencies, and perform required procedures.

Qualifications

  • Active LPN or LVN license in the practice state with no disciplinary action.
  • Knowledge of ventilators, tracheostomies, suctioning, apnea monitors, oxygen, and tube feedings.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Satisfactory background checks and negative TB test or X-ray.
  • Understanding of quality care standards for medically complex children.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance, stand, walk, and respond swiftly in emergencies.
  • Operate medical equipment safely with manual dexterity and keen senses.
  • Work in environments with potential exposure to latex, blood, and infectious materials.
  • Assist with patient transportation and maintain a clean, safe setting.
