Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Full-Time Day Shifts

About the Role

Provide compassionate nursing care for children with complex medical needs in a pediatric day health center. Under RN supervision, monitor and document patient status, implement physician orders, and communicate updates to families and the care team.

Responsibilities

• Assess, observe, and document children's health and progress.
• Administer medications, manage feeding tubes, and respond to pediatric emergencies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and support family education and counseling.
• Mentor new staff, stay informed on pediatric care advancements, and ensure compliance with policies.
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in training and quality improvement activities.

Requirements

• Active LPN or LVN license with no disciplinary actions.
• Knowledge of pediatric medical equipment and procedures, including ventilators and IV therapy.
• Current BLS certification, negative TB test or chest X-ray, and clear background check.
• Strong leadership, critical thinking, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to work with diverse families, maintain confidentiality, and handle emergencies effectively.

Physical & Work Environment

• Capable of physical activities such as lifting up to 50 lbs and frequent movement.
• Ability to respond swiftly in emergencies.
• Work involves exposure to biological hazards.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment for children.
