Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Full-Time Day Shifts

About the role

Join a pediatric day health center dedicated to children with complex medical needs. As a Licensed Nurse, you will provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care under the supervision of an RN, supporting children’s growth and development in a safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and document patient status through observation and assessment.
• Implement physician’s orders, communicate updates, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams, assess family needs, and provide education and emotional support.
• Administer medications, manage feeding tubes and IV therapies, respond to emergencies, and supervise medical procedures.
• Participate in staff training, case management, and maintain compliance with policies and licensing standards.

Qualifications

• Active LPN or LVN license with no disciplinary actions.
• Current BLS certification, negative TB test or X-ray, and satisfactory background check.

Skills

• Proficiency in pediatric nursing care, including ventilators, tracheostomies, suctioning, and oxygen therapy.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work with diverse families, maintain confidentiality, and handle emergency situations.

Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, and operate medical equipment.
• Work involves exposure to bodily fluids and allergens, requiring a safe, clean, and adaptable environment.
