About the role
Provides patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician, operating within licensed scope.
Responsibilities
- Assesses patient well-being
- Administers medications
- Monitors for adverse reactions
- Performs lab tests and therapeutic services
- Educates patients and families on treatment plans, self-care, resources, and follow-up
- Documents provider encounters
- Transcribes orders
- Completes charts with lab and imaging results
- Ensures data is available for treatment decisions
- Maintains a safe, alert environment
- Performs additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent
- No prior experience required
- Must hold active BLS and LPN licensure (state-specific requirements apply)
Skills and Physical Requirements
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to stand and walk
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to perform repetitive movements
- Utilize vision, hearing, and smell for patient care
- Occasional patient mobility assistance required
- Occasional driving may be required
