Licensed Practical Nurse - Clinic

Role Overview

Provides patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician within the orthopedics department, ensuring patient assessment, medication administration, laboratory testing, and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to patient assessments
• Administer medications
• Perform lab tests
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and self-care
• Document provider encounters
• Transcribe orders
• Monitor patient progress

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent, with no prior experience required.

Skills & Requirements

• Strong communication, alertness, and physical stamina
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform repetitive movements
• Familiarity with clinical tools and procedures

Certifications

• Valid BLS (American Heart Association)
• LPN license (state-specific or compact license)

Physical Demands

• Frequent standing, walking, lifting (0-25 lbs), and data entry
• Occasional patient lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, and moving

Schedule

Day shift, covering Wentzville & St. Charles locations, with no weekends or holidays.
