Licensed Mental Health Therapist- Illinois
We're growing our Illinois team with therapists who want to deliver high-quality mental health care for children, teens, and young adults—all online and covered by most insurance. Backpack Healthcare is clinician-led, minority-owned, and focused on supporting the professionals who provide care.
About the Role
You'll carry a caseload of 15–36 sessions per week, depending on whether you choose part-time or full-time. Most clinicians work weekday afternoons and evenings (2–9 PM), with weekend availability a plus. Strong referral flow ensures consistent income from the start.
Responsibilities
- Conduct intakes and build client-centered, trauma-informed treatment plans
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of therapists, PMHNPs, and psychiatrists
- Maintain timely documentation in our electronic health record system (EHR)
- Support families with education and care coordination
Requirements
- Active Illinois license: LCPC, LMFT, or LCSW (independently licensed)
- Experience with children, teens, and families
- Comfortable working independently in a remote setting
- Commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive practice
