Licensed Clinical Social Worker - Hourly - Inpatient

About the role

This position works directly with patients and families in the Emergency Department (ED) or other crisis settings who have complex social situations or extensive psychosocial/mental health needs by assessing the situation, providing necessary intervention and making appropriate referrals or recommendations. It is responsible for supporting the infrastructure necessary to develop and maintain a therapeutic environment for patients/families and staff members. It also provides expertise to staff on legal and ethical issues, mandatory reporting, and psychosocial factors related to the health status of patients. The LCSW also provides clinical leadership to the department and provides supervision to MSWs seeking licensure and graduate social work interns.

Responsibilities

• Supports the development and maintenance of a therapeutic environment for patients/families and staff members.
• Provides expertise to staff on legal and ethical issues, mandatory reporting, and psychosocial factors related to the health status of patients.
• Provides clinical leadership to the department.
• Supervises MSWs seeking licensure and graduate social work interns.
• Works flexible hours.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree from a graduate school of Social Work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education or equivalent master’s level degree.
• Three to five years of recent relevant experience in the Emergency Department setting is preferred.
• Current unrestricted Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) issued by State of California.

The estimated base rate for this position is $45.66 - $69.63. Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions. Pay

The estimated base rate for this position is $45.66 - $69.63.
