Primary Responsibilities
- Provides direct social work services across both inpatient hospital settings.
- Conducts individual psychotherapy, supportive counseling, and conflict-resolution family interventions.
- Documents all clinical services in Electronic Medical Record in strict compliance with facility policies.
- Serves as a clinical consultant to the interdisciplinary team regarding complex social work issues.
- Leverages specialized geriatric and rehabilitation knowledge to improve patient care outcomes.
- Collaborates with cross-functional care teams in Rehabilitation, Family, and Treating Team conferences for inpatients.
Prerequisites
- Education: Master of Social Work (MSW) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW) credentialed under the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Social Work.
- Licensure: Current Massachusetts LCSW or LICSW.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of professional experience, preferably in a rehabilitation or geriatric hospital setting.
- Supervision Skills: Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise staff and students.
- Clinical Skills: Ability to develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and families, establish appropriate professional boundaries, and strictly adhere to the NASW Code of Ethics.
