About the role

The Library Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the Health Sciences Library service desk and study space in the Health 2 building.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Health Sciences Library service desk
• Aid in hiring, training, and managing student employees at the Health Sciences Library
• Collaborate with the Health Sciences Services staff in assessing and responding to patron needs
• Provide basic reference and information services to faculty and students in health sciences programs
• Absorb space and facility issues, including opening and closing the library
• Collaborate with the Health Sciences Services staff on facilities, technology, and training needs

Requirements

• The Ideal Candidate Should Possess The Following Experience, or interest in, providing customer service in a health sciences library setting
• Flexibility and adaptability
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills

Qualifications

• Experience Will Be Considered In Lieu Of Education
• Vocational competence in the operation of mechanical or electronic equipment may be required
• Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience
