Privacy Policy Job Openings Library Adult Programmer Sanders Library - Sherwood, Arkansas Department Sanders Library Employment Type Full-Time Compensation $34,257.00 annually Library Adult Programmer (Full-Time, 40 Hours/Week) Central Arkansas Library System (CALS) is seeking an outgoing, energetic, and service-oriented professional to join our programming team at Sanders Library (10200 Johnson Drive, Sherwood, AR 72120). This position plays a key role in creating engaging experiences for a diverse adult audience and fostering meaningful community connections. Responsibilities Include: Planning, coordinating, and presenting in-library and outreach programs for adult patronsCreating and promoting programs through printed and digital marketing materialsCollaborating with library staff to develop innovative programming opportunitiesBuilding and maintaining partnerships with community organizations and local stakeholdersProviding excellent customer service at the public service deskAssisting patrons in person and by phone with information requests, technology questions, and library resourcesPerforming general library duties, including workroom tasks and shelving materialsUpholding library policies and maintaining a welcoming environment for all patrons Qualifications: Excellent communication, customer service, and technology skillsAbility to work effectively with a diverse public and as part of a collaborative teamConfidence in enforcing library policies and standards of conductExperience working with adults is preferredKnowledge of popular adult literature and familiarity with current media and cultural trends is highly desirable Schedule: This is a full-time position (40 hours per week). Some evening and Saturday hours are required.
