About the role
The Library Adult Programming Coordinator is responsible for planning and implementing engaging adult programming that enhances community engagement and literacy.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a variety of adult literacy programs and workshops.
- Collaborate with other departments to promote library services and events.
- Manage and maintain the library’s online and social media platforms to promote programming.
- Assist in the recruitment and training of volunteers for library programs.
- Conduct outreach activities to engage diverse community members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in adult education or library administration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience with event planning and coordination.
- Knowledge of adult learning theories and best practices.
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with digital marketing tools.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
