About the role

The Library Adult Programming Coordinator is responsible for planning and implementing engaging adult programming that enhances community engagement and literacy.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a variety of adult literacy programs and workshops.
  • Collaborate with other departments to promote library services and events.
  • Manage and maintain the library’s online and social media platforms to promote programming.
  • Assist in the recruitment and training of volunteers for library programs.
  • Conduct outreach activities to engage diverse community members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in adult education or library administration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience with event planning and coordination.
  • Knowledge of adult learning theories and best practices.

Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with digital marketing tools.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
