Adult Programmer

About the role

The Central Arkansas Library System is seeking an outgoing, public service-oriented professional to lead and coordinate activities for a diverse adult audience at the Max Milam Library in Perryville, AR. This full-time position involves planning and executing a variety of adult programs both inside the library and within the community, designing promotional materials, and developing partnerships with local organizations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and actively carry out activities for adults
• Design printed and digital promotional materials
• Develop partnerships with community organizations
• Perform public service duties, including:
  • Working the front desk
  • Answering patron questions
  • Assisting with information searches and technology
  • Shelving materials

Requirements

• Excellent communication, technology, and customer service skills
• Ability to work some Saturdays and Tuesday evenings until 8:00 p.m.

Pay

Starting salary of $16.47 per hour.
