Legal Assistant (Replevins/Foreclosure)

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Communicate with lenders, borrowers, courts, and other parties over the phone and via email.
  • Maintain attorney calendars; Schedule and arrange hearings.
  • Process expense reports; Track and submit invoices for payment.
  • Track case deadlines and ensuring timely filings.
  • E-File documents with courts.
  • Draft legal documents such as foreclosure and replevin notices, pleadings, motions, and affidavits.
  • Other administrative duties, as assigned by attorneys and managers.

Education And Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years Legal Assistant experience (Required), in a foreclosure, replevin, or similar litigation practice (Preferred).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and PDF (Required).
  • Experience with document management and legal accounting softwares (Required).
  • Experience with iManage (Preferred).

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Work Environment

  • This position reports to work in-person at our Orlando office.
