About the role
The Legal Assistant will provide support to members of the company’s Law and Compliance teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative support to lawyers, paralegals and Compliance personnel, including assistance with correspondence, research, regulatory filings, regulatory examinations, and travel arrangements.
- Prepare and process expense reports for department leadership.
- Process department mail (i.e. organization, distribution, etc.).
- Organize and arrange department and board luncheons, dinners, catering.
- Process vendor invoices for payment using company systems such as Serengeti Tracker and Oracle Fusion software.
- Provide administrative planning and oversight for various subject matter functions.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- 2+ years of prior administrative assistant experience is preferred.
- Current active Notary, or willingness to obtain one after hire.
- Prior legal experience in a law firm or corporate law department is preferred.
- Experience in highly regulated environments (e.g., insurance, financial services, health care) preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and balance competing priorities.
- Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment is essential.
- Understands the importance of deadlines and discretion in dealing with issues of a sensitive and confidential nature.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Adobe.
Qualifications
