Legal Assistant
Why This Role
If you've been looking for a legal support seat where you actually get to use your judgment, this is it. This is a hybrid legal assistant / paralegal style role: you'll own case management and deadlines, but there is also real room to take on drafting and trial preparation work if that's where your strengths lie. There is no billable hour requirement attached to the position, and the firm is candid that the draw here isn't a high pressure billable grind, it's variety, autonomy, and a genuinely collegial team that has built its reputation over 75 years on a work life balance oriented culture.

- Prior law firm experience preferred
- Litigation background strongly preferred; labor & employment or commercial litigation also transfer well
- Personal injury or insurance defense backgrounds can transfer if you understand litigation workflows
- Family law experience is a plus for candidates supporting the family law docket, given its distinct deadlines
