About the role

Nelson Mullins, an AmLaw 60 firm, is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to support a busy team of corporate legal professionals in their Charleston office.

Responsibilities

  • Manage calendars and meetings
  • Process expense reimbursements
  • Provide general administrative support across the office
  • Prepare, review, edit, redline, and format legal documents
  • Maintain accurate and organized document management systems
  • Assist with client and matter intake, including running conflict checks, opening new client and matter engagements, and establishing client-specific billing requirements
  • Assist with additional administrative and project-based responsibilities as business needs evolve

Requirements

  • Corporate legal experience preferred
  • Ability and willingness to learn
  • Exceptional proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Strong attention to detail when reviewing documents
  • Experience with a document management system, billing software, and time entry program preferred

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a legal administrative role
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Skills

  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Document management system knowledge
  • Billing software and time entry program experience
