Position Responsibilities

  • Assisting attorneys and paralegals in the organization with documents and workflow necessary for the smooth running of the firm.
  • Preparing and proofing legal documents and correspondence.
  • Filing documents in state and federal courts.
  • Preparing and maintaining charts with hyperlinks for documents.
  • Creating and saving documents and emails to a document management system (iManage) in accordance with firm policy.
  • Calendaring legal due dates in CompuLaw.
  • Maintaining attorneys calendars, scheduling meetings and other calendar commitments.
  • Making travel arrangements and processing expense reports.
  • Processing monthly client disbursements.
  • Organizing and maintaining case files.
  • Providing support to multiple timekeepers.
  • Supporting overall Bowman and Brooke administrative needs by assisting team members where needed.

  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
  • Confidence and communication skills to develop relationships of trust with members of our team.

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Exceptional computer skills, including proficiency with software programs such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Outlooks, Teams, Compulaw, etc.
  • A strong understanding of court rules and procedures with the ability to obtain documents from online court directories.
  • The ability to work overtime when the need arises.
  • Heavy computer use.
  • The ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments.
  • The ability to lift at least 30 lbs. (files and boxes).

Education and Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of legal experience required.
  • Civil Litigation experience required.
  • Demonstrated employment stability.
