Lecturer/Senior Lecturer - Chemistry

About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking research and related teaching activities within the School of Science at UNSW Canberra.

Responsibilities

• Conduct scholarly research and contribute to the advancement of the School’s international profile.
• Supervise research students and teach a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
• Build productive relationships with colleagues, industry, and professional networks.
• Engage, support, and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
• Develop and sustain a successful research program.

Requirements

• PhD in Chemistry or a closely related experimental chemistry discipline.
• Excellence in teaching, curriculum design, and course delivery at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Strong commitment to student success, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
• Established or emerging track record of high-quality research, including scholarly publications, research leadership, supervision of higher degree students, and the ability to develop and sustain a successful research program.
• Ability to build productive relationships with colleagues, industry, and professional networks.
• Highly developed communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Pay

• Level B from $133,065/Level C from $161,619 plus 17% super.

Schedule

• Full-time (35 hrs per week).
