Lecturer Pool - Mathematics AY 2026/27
California State University San Marcos invites applications on an ongoing basis for part-time lecturer positions in the Department of Mathematics. Appointments may range from one day to a full semester and are used to fill short-term, temporary vacancies as needed throughout the 2026/27 academic year. Applications in this pool are valid only for the current academic year and will close on May 31st.
About the Role
Lecturer positions are part-time, in-person, and vary in day and time based on departmental needs. This pool may be used to fill vacant positions on an as-needed basis across the College of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in mathematics or a closely related field (minimum requirement).
- Per the California State University’s Out-of-State Employment Policy, employment is contingent upon working in the State of California.
Preferred Qualifications
- Terminal degree in mathematics or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated intercultural competence and a commitment to serving our diverse campus community in teaching and service.
Pay
Salary is commensurate with degree level and experience. The anticipated hiring range is $5,507–$6,008 per full-time month, generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range.
- Lecturer A (Academic Year): $5,507–$6,677 per full-time month.
- Lecturer B (Academic Year): $6,221–$13,224 per full-time month.
