Lecturer Pool - School of Education AY 2026/27

California State University San Marcos accepts applications on an ongoing basis for part-time lecturers in the School of Education. Appointments may last from one day to a whole semester and are used to fill short-term temporary positions as needed throughout the academic year. Applications for this pool are valid only for the 2026/27 academic year and will close on May 31st.

Minimum Qualifications

• A master's degree in curriculum and instruction or a closely related field.
• Employment is contingent upon working in the State of California, per the California State University’s Out-of-State Employment Policy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated intercultural competence and a commitment to serving the campus community through teaching and, as applicable, service.

Pay

Anticipated hiring salary range: $5,507 - $6,677 per full-time month. Salary is commensurate with education and experience and is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range.

• Lecturer A - AY: $5,507 - $6,677 per full-time month
• Lecturer B - AY: $6,221 - $13,224 per full-time month
