Qualifications
Group 1
- Degree: Earned Ph.D., or M.S. with ABD in Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Successful teaching experience and/or relevant professional experience within the last five years.
- Preferred: Current Professional Engineer (P.E.) license, and professional experience directly related to the course.
Group 2
- Degree: Earned B.A./B.S. in Engineering or a related field with relevant professional experience.
- Experience: Successful teaching experience and/or relevant professional experience within the last five years.
- Preferred: Ph.D. or M.S. with ABD in Engineering or related field, current Professional Engineer (P.E.) license, and professional experience directly related to the course.
Group 3
- Degree: Earned M.S. in Engineering or a related field with Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
- Experience: Successful teaching experience and/or relevant professional experience within the last five years.
- Preferred: Ph.D. or M.S. with ABD in Engineering or related field, current Professional Engineer (P.E.) license, and professional experience directly related to the course.
Position Details
Position Type: Lecturer
Availability: As needed

Pay
Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience. The salary schedule for the Lecturer – Academic Year Classification is as follows:
- Lecturer A: $5,507 - $6,677 per month
- Lecturer B: $6,221 - $13,224 per month
- Lecturer C: $6,825 - $14,523 per month
Appointees are typically placed at the beginning of the range. The full-time (15 units per semester) monthly base salaries are prorated to the number of units worked and are paid in six monthly payments for each full semester.

There are opportunities to conduct research, teaching, and community work on Native American history and cultures, with resources in Special Collections at the Cal Poly Humboldt library. The Humboldt Room in the Library has archive materials focused on tribal history from the region.
Humboldt engages with Native communities through initiatives like the annual California Indian Big Time, Indigenous People's Week, and networking opportunities through the Cal Poly Humboldt Council of American Indian Faculty and Staff.
