Lecturer Pool for School of Engineering AY 26-27

The School of Engineering at California State University, East Bay seeks part-time lecturers for a pool to teach in Construction Management, Industrial Engineering, and Engineering Management programs at both bachelor’s and master’s levels. Teaching assignments may include courses at the Hayward campus, Concord Center, and/or online.

About the role

• M.S. degree in Civil Engineering/Construction with relevant work experience is required.
• Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering/Construction is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in Construction Management, Industrial Engineering, and Engineering Management at both bachelor’s and master’s levels.
• Teaching assignments may include courses at the Hayward campus, Concord Center, and/or online.
• Comply with the California State University policy that all faculty members perform their duties within the state of California.

Qualifications

• M.S. degree in Civil Engineering/Construction with relevant work experience is required.
• Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering/Construction is preferred.

Salary and Appointment

Rank and salary are dependent upon educational preparation and experience. The anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with education and experience.

Date of Appointment

Fall Semester begins August 17, 2026; Spring Semester begins January 19, 2027.
