THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Economics offers courses at both the undergraduate (BS Economics, BSBA) and graduate (MBA) levels in microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics, and a variety of subfields.

DUTIES OF THE POSITION

• Teaching one or more introductory and/or advanced courses in Economics.
• Courses may include those taught at the Hayward campus, Concord Center, and/or online.
• Comply with the policy and expectation of the California State University regarding all faculty members performing duties within the state of California.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum Degree Requirement: Master’s degree (or equivalent) in business or economics.
• Ph.D. in economics preferred.
• Preferred degree from AACSB accredited institution.
• Professional experience at the time of appointment that is significant in duration and level of responsibility, and consistent with area of teaching responsibilities.
• For research Ph.D., a current research record in the teaching field is required.
• ABDs must have completed exams in the last three years.
