About the role
The Department offers courses at both the undergraduate (BSAA and BSBA) and graduate (MSA and MBA) levels for accounting and finance. We have diverse, vibrant, and accomplished faculty members.
Responsibilities
Teach introductory and/or advanced courses in accounting, including financial, managerial, business law, accounting information systems, accounting analytics, auditing, or taxation.
Teach one or more introductory and/or advanced courses in finance with specialties in personal finance, financial management, corporate finance, investment analysis, derivatives markets, risk management in financial institutions, international business finance, new venture financing, entrepreneurial finance, financial planning, or real estate finance.
Qualifications
Minimum Degree Requirement: Master’s degree (or equivalent) in accounting or finance, or juris doctorate in law. Ph.D. in accounting or finance and degree from an AACSB accredited institution is preferred.
Professional experience at the time of appointment that is significant in duration and level of responsibility, and consistent with area of teaching responsibilities.
With a research-based Ph.D. in accounting or finance, and must have a current research record in the teaching field.
ABDs must have completed exams in the last three years.
Salary and Appointment
Rank and salary: Lecturer. Salary is dependent upon educational preparation and experience. Position appointment is subject to budgetary authorization. The anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with education and experience.
Date of appointment: Fall Semester begins August 17, 2026 and Spring Semester begins January 19, 2027.
