Lecturer Pool - Accounting AY26/27

About the role

The Department of Accounting at California State University San Marcos accepts applications on an ongoing basis for its part-time lecturer pool. The pool is used to fill short-term temporary Lecturer positions across the campus with the possibility of rehiring. Appointments may last from one day to a whole semester. This applicant pool may be used to fill vacant positions on an as-needed basis throughout the academic year. Applications in this pool are only good for the current academic year. This pool will be closed effective May 31st. If you wish to be considered for the next academic year, you will need to apply to the new pool as it becomes available by June 15th.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in accounting
• Develop and maintain course materials
• Assess student learning outcomes
• Maintain office hours
• Participate in departmental meetings and committees

Requirements

• A master's degree in business or a related discipline
• Industry experience in a finance-related position

Preferred qualifications

• A doctorate degree or equivalent
• Previous teaching experience
• Demonstrate intercultural competence and a commitment to serving the campus community

Benefits

Salary commensurate with degree level and experience. Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $5,507 - $6,677 per full-time month.

Pay

CSU Classification Salary Range: Lecturer A - AY: $5,507 – $6,677 per full-time month.

Schedule

The anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with education and experience.
