Lecturer Pool - Environment and Geography AY 2026/27
California State University San Marcos invites applications on an ongoing basis for part-time lecturer positions in the Environment and Geography Department for the 2026/2027 academic year. Appointments may range from one day to a full semester, with the possibility of rehiring. Applications are valid only for the current academic year and will be reviewed as needed.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a related field (minimum requirement).
- Doctorate in a closely related field (preferred).
- Higher education experience teaching Environment or Geography courses (preferred).
- Demonstrated intercultural competence and commitment to serving the campus community in teaching and service (preferred).
Per the California State University’s Out-of-State Employment Policy, employment is contingent upon working in the State of California.
Pay
Salary is commensurate with credentials and experience, with an anticipated hiring range of $5,507–$8,000 per full-time month. The following salary ranges apply based on classification:
- Lecturer A - AY: $5,507–$6,677 per full-time month
- Lecturer B - AY: $6,221–$13,224 per full-time month
The anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range.
