Lecturer Pool AY 26-27: Department of Educational Leadership
About the Role
The Department of Educational Leadership seeks one or more temporary, part-time lecturers for a pool from which instructors will be appointed as needs arise for Fall Semester 2026 and/or Spring Semester 2027.
Assignments may include teaching courses in school law, school finance, and supervision and staff development in schools, as well as supervising students in fieldwork sites. Courses may be offered at the Hayward campus, Concord Center, and/or online. All duties must be performed within the state of California.
Responsibilities

- Supervise students in fieldwork sites.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree required.
- Relevant professional experience.
Pay
Salary is dependent upon educational preparation and experience. The anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range.
- Lecturer AY (Range 2): $5,507 - $6,677
- Lecturer AY (Range 3): $6,221 - $13,224
- Lecturer AY (Range 4): $6,825 - $14,523
- Lecturer AY (Range 5): $8,593 - $15,211
Schedule
- Fall Semester: August 17, 2026 – December 18, 2026
- Spring Semester: January 19, 2027 – May 21, 2027

- Appointment is contingent upon budget and enrollment considerations.
- Must be lawfully authorized to work in the United States.
