Lecturer Pool AY 25-26: Department of Educational Leadership, DOCTORAL Program

Position Overview

One or more temporary, part‑time lecturers will be placed in a pool from which instructors may be appointed for the Fall Semester 2025 and/or Spring Semester 2026. Lecturers will teach courses, supervise onsite residencies, and advise doctoral students in the Department of Educational Leadership (Doctoral Program) at California State University, East Bay.

Duties

• Teach graduate courses in the Educational Leadership doctoral program.
• Supervise onsite residencies for doctoral students.
• Advise students in various capacities, including support for doctoral research.
• Potentially bring expertise as school, system, or agency leaders to enrich the program.
• Teach courses at the Hayward campus, Concord Center, and/or online, as assigned.

Rank and Salary

Salary is dependent upon educational preparation and experience and is contingent upon budget and enrollment considerations. The Lecturer‑Academic Year classification ranges are:

• Lecturer AY (Range 2): $5,507 – $6,677
• Lecturer AY (Range 3): $6,221 – $13,224
• Lecturer AY (Range 4): $6,825 – $14,523
• Lecturer AY (Range 5): $8,593 – $15,211

The anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with education and experience.

Dates of Appointment

• Fall Semester: 08/18/25 – 12/19/25
• Spring Semester: 01/20/26 – 05/22/26

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate in Educational Leadership or a related field.
• Experience teaching in graduate programs.
• Some positions require school‑district or agency administrative experience; others require applied research expertise.
