Lecturer of Psychology– School of Behavioral and Social Sciences (Continuous Recruitment)
Position Details
The position is open for continuous recruitment and is classified as a terminal (fixed term) position. Lecturers are hired on a per-course basis each semester, with a teaching load ranging between 1-12 credits per semester. Partially remote and remote opportunities may be available.
Department
The psychology department at UWSP consists of 12 full-time faculty members who teach at the main campus in Stevens Point, and at our branch campuses in Marshfield and Wausau. The program includes approximately 450 psychology majors, with both online and face-to-face students. There are approximately 170 minors in both psychology and behavioral neuroscience.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses.
- Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations.
- Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction.
Required Qualifications
- PhD, EdD, or PsyD from an accredited college or university. ABD considered.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with both face-to-face teaching and online instruction.
