Lecturer-Field Instructor for School of Social Work- CWTAP Everett
About the role
The Eastern Washington University, School of Social Work, Child Welfare Training & Advancement Program (CWTAP ) is currently seeking a full-time faculty member at the rank of Lecturer beginning summer quarter 2026 (6/16/2026).
This position has a nine-month academic year appointment with an anticipated three-month summer appointment (CWTAP faculty work full-time, year around).
This position is anticipated to be on-going and renewed annually dependent on performance, need, and grant funding.
The CWTAP has a 25+ year history of successful grant renewal.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses in child welfare training and advancement within the CWTAP program.
- Develop and deliver curriculum that aligns with current best practices in child welfare.
- Participate in program planning and evaluation activities.
- Collaborate with other faculty members, administrators, and external partners to enhance the quality of training and support services.
- Maintain professional development through ongoing education and participation in relevant conferences and workshops.
Requirements
- A Master’s degree in Social Work from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE)-accredited program.
- At least two years of professional experience in child welfare or related field.
- Experience teaching in higher education settings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
