Instructor or Lecturer, School of Social Work
About the role
The UCF School of Social Work and the UCF Health Mobile Health Clinic in the College of Health Professions and Sciences are seeking a 12-month, non-tenure-earning instructor or lecturer position. The position is located on the UCF main campus with an anticipated start date on or after May 1, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical social work services across the lifespan.
- Demonstrate knowledge and expertise in behavioral health assessment, intervention, and case management.
- Deliver trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and community-based care.
- Supervise social work students providing services through the UCF Mobile Health Clinic and the College of Health Professions and Sciences Rehabilitation and Wellness.
- Ensure high-quality, patient-centered behavioral health care within the UCF Mobile Health Clinic.
- Supervise graduate and undergraduate social work students completing clinical experiences.
- Provide classroom instruction for courses offered by the School of Social Work.
Requirements
- M.S.W. from a CSWE-accredited program for instructor rank.
- Ph.D./D.S.W. in Social Work or related field from an accredited institution for lecturer rank.
- Two years of post-M.S.W. experience.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience working in behavioral health settings.
- Teaching at the college/university level.
- Experience supervising students.
- Active status as a qualified supervisor for registered social work interns.
