About the role
The Department of Anthropology at California State University San Marcos seeks a part-time lecturer for Fall 2026 to teach ANTH 240: Introduction to Biological Anthropology.
Responsibilities
- Teach ANTH 240: Introduction to Biological Anthropology
- Explain the basic principles of genetics and inheritance, evolutionary theory, primate biology and behavior, the fossil record of human and nonhuman primates, and contemporary human biological diversity.
Requirements
- A master's degree in Anthropology
- One (1) year of higher education teaching experience
- Demonstrate intercultural competence and a commitment to serving the campus community

Schedule
Three (3) sections available:
- Mondays and Wednesdays, from 4:00 to 5:15 p.m.
- Mondays and Wednesdays, from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m.
- Mondays and Wednesdays, from 7:00 to 8:15 p.m.
