California State University San Marcos invites applications on an ongoing basis for part-time lecturer positions in the Department of Anthropology. Appointments may range from one day to a full semester and are filled on an as-needed basis throughout the 2026/2027 academic year. This applicant pool is valid only for the current academic year and will close on May 31st.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Anthropology (minimum qualification)
- Employment is contingent upon working in the State of California, as per the California State University’s Out-of-State Employment Policy
Qualifications
- Doctorate in Anthropology (preferred)
- One year of higher education teaching experience (preferred)
- Demonstrated intercultural competence and commitment to serving the campus community through teaching and service
Pay
Anticipated hiring salary range: $5,507 – $8,000 per full-time month. Salary is determined by education and experience, generally starting at or near the minimum of the appropriate range.
- Lecturer A – Academic Year: $5,507 – $6,677 per full-time month
- Lecturer B – Academic Year: $6,221 – $13,224 per full-time month
