Lecturer of Anthropology

About the role

The Department of Sociology and Anthropology at North Carolina State University (NC State) invites applications for a Lecturer position. Primary teaching responsibilities will be at the undergraduate level for the department’s anthropology programs. Several hires may be made from this posting, with most positions teaching part-time and in person.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in anthropology.
• Develop and maintain course materials and syllabi.
• Assist in curriculum development and assessment.
• Participate in departmental and university committees.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education and Experience: Master’s degree in anthropology or related field, PhD preferred. Demonstrated evidence of teaching excellence.
• Other Required Qualifications: Strong commitment to excellence in teaching. Excellent communication skills.
• Preferred Qualifications: Teaching experience at the university level.
• Required License(s) or Certification(s): Discipline in Anthropology.
