Position Summary

Responsible for the Leave of Absence (LOA) program by partnering with the Leave Management vendor to monitor and track LOAs and coordinating interactive discussions regarding requests for LOAs under the American Disabilities Act (ADA) and personal LOAs. Keeps abreast of changes in Valley's policies and applicable Federal and State leave laws to ensure compliance and consistency. Provides education and guidance to staff and managers on all matters related to LOAs.

About the Role

Provides support to the Leave Management team in managing the LOA process, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and track Leave of Absence (LOA) requests through the Leave Management vendor system.
  • Coordinate discussions regarding LOA requests under the ADA and personal LOA requests.
  • Provide education and guidance to staff and managers on all matters related to LOA requests.
  • Stay informed about changes in Valley's policies and applicable Federal and State leave laws to ensure compliance and consistency.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Business, Human Resources, Psychology or related field required or 3 years of job-related experience.
  • Minimum two (2) years HR or business-related experience with one year of benefits or leave experience preferred.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Excellent written, organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills required with strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and dedication to team and customer service.
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently.
