Key Responsibilities
- Drive the End-to-End Leave Lifecycle: Serve as the dedicated, single point of contact for clients and their employees, overseeing the leave from initial intake, eligibility assessment, and formal documentation to active tracking and successful return-to-work integration.
- Leave Consultations: Lead Leave consultations with employees; process, timelines, requirements, pay and answer any questions the employee may have.
- Oversee Critical Regulatory Timelines: Own the strict administration of statutory deadlines, ensuring eligibility notices, rights and responsibilities forms, and designation notices are accurately customized and issued within federal and state-mandated windows (e.g., FMLA 5-day deadlines).
- Dashboard Administration: Responsible for setting up, configuring, and maintaining dedicated leave of absence dashboards for each employee currently out on an active leave of absence, ensuring real-time status visibility and accurate data tracking for client stakeholders.
- Provide Cross-Functional HR Support: Collaboratively assist the Sr. HR Consulting team with ad-hoc HR projects, and administrative support.
Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of Human Resource experience, with a preferred expertise in leave administration, benefits, or employee relations.
- Proven Ability to Operate in the "Gray Zone": Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a demonstrated knack for analyzing and recommending solutions for ambiguous, complex problems where there is no clear-cut script.
- Strong Client-Facing Consultation: Extensive experience in a client-facing role where navigating relationships are critical.
- In-Depth Legal & Compliance Knowledge: Comprehensive, up-to-date knowledge of federal and state HR laws (including FMLA, ADA, and complex California employment regulations).
- End-to-End Project Coordination: Demonstrated experience coordinating and executing complex HR projects from initial discovery through implementation.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong ability to learn new software quickly. You must have experience across the Google Workspace suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.) and hands-on experience navigating HR, payroll, or database systems with a high degree of accuracy.
