Position Summary
The Leasing Manager is responsible for effectively leading the leasing team and accomplishing effective leasing, marketing, and positive relations of an apartment community.
Responsibilities
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with current and potential residents
- Generate new leads and conduct tours
- Manage show rooms and follow-up with prospects
- Implement marketing strategies to drive traffic
- Secure resident retention through events and interactions
- Complete necessary paperwork for lease generation and move-in/move-out processes
- Attend and contribute to weekly and daily goal-setting meetings
- Oversee leasing staff, including training, development, evaluation, and rewards
- Greet and qualify prospects professionally, assist with applications and deposits
- Show apartments and close sales, prepare them for move-ins, and provide community orientation
- Maintain an active social media presence to enhance property visibility
- Manage lease renewals, send renewal notices, and handle move-outs based on lease terms
- Collaborate with the property maintenance team to ensure prompt responses and completion of resident service requests
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
- One to two years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Four years’ experience in leasing capacity (preferred)
- Two years’ experience in supervisory role (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Project Management, Adobe, Property Management Software, and PopCard or LTS
Physical Requirements
- Sit for extended periods of time while working at a desk
- Climb stairs
- Read documents, computer screens, and data
- Hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computer
- Lift and carry items up to 20 pounds
- Use mobile devices and applications for work-related tasks
Work Environment
- Based on site, primarily in an office setting but may require outdoor time
- Open office environment with bright lights, constant noises, and distractions
- Flexible schedule including weekdays, nights, weekends (Saturdays and Sundays), and holidays
