Position Summary
The Leasing Manager is responsible for effectively leading the leasing team and accomplishing effective leasing, marketing, and positive relations of an apartment community.
Responsibilities
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with potential residents through marketing strategies and presentations
- Close sales by conducting tours, managing show rooms, and following up with leads
- Manage leasing staff, train, evaluate, and reward them while providing feedback on performance
- Ensure resident retention through organizing events and participating in after-hours functions
- Generate lease agreements, move-in paperwork, and manage lease renewals
- Respond promptly to resident service requests and maintain property management software
- Collaborate with the property maintenance team to address resident issues
- Manage social media presence to enhance community visibility and engagement
- Attend weekly and daily goal-setting meetings as appropriate
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
- One to two years related experience or training
- Four years’ experience in leasing capacity (preferred)
- Two years’ experience in supervisory role (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Project Management, Adobe, Property Management Software, PopCard or LTS
Physical Requirements
- Sit for extended periods of time while working at a desk
- Climb stairs
- Read documents, computer screens, and data
- Hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computer
- Lift and carry items up to 20 pounds
- Use mobile devices and applications for work-related tasks
Work Environment
- Based on site, primarily in an office setting but may require outdoor exposure to the elements
- Open office environment with bright lights, constant noises, and distractions
