Leasing Manager

We're growing our team in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago and are searching for a Leasing Manager to join our sales team. This role is responsible for efficient and consistent operations of the leasing office under the supervision of the Leasing Director, aiding and training the Leasing Director to ensure smooth operations across our two Hyde Park offices.

About the role

The typical schedule for this role is Sunday–Thursday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, with a salary of $85,000 plus bonus potential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with direction, guidance, and leadership to leasing consultants.
• Train all leasing consultants on tours, phone calls, and all communication with potential residents.
• Fill in as needed for tours, leasing calls, processing applications, and other leasing consultant duties.
• Assist with review of applications to ensure accurate and efficient preparation/processing of all potential resident information.
• Assist staff with customer issues regarding new move-ins.
• Create and manage the monthly work schedule for leasing consultants.
• Maintain, revise, and order leasing office documents.
• Conduct regular inspections of model and vacant units to identify cleaning, maintenance, or repair needs; prepare work orders as necessary.
• Supervise leasing staff located in our two offices.
• Perform other related duties and assignments as required.

Requirements

• Four to six years of related training or experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• Computer skills including internet, email, and Microsoft Office; previous Salesforce experience preferred.
• Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Superior attention to detail, organizational, and follow-up abilities.
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
• Proactive and deadline-oriented.
• Ability to interact effectively with residents, vendors, and employees at all levels of the organization.
• Patience and the ability to react to stressful situations in a professional manner.
