About the role
Bear Real Estate Group is looking for a motivated and customer-centric Leasing Consultant to take the lead in showcasing our stunning property, East National Flats located in Milwaukee, WI. You will work amongst a team of professionals within a beautiful building with premium amenities. Weekend availability is required to accommodate high-demand viewing times.
Responsibilities
- Show units to all prospects
- Monitor condition and cleanliness of make-ready units and model as well as tour path
- Conduct pre-move-in unit inspections
- Answer the telephone and provide customer service
- Process rental applications
- Prepare lease documents and handle lease signings if necessary
- Communicate with applicants regarding application status
- Provide accurate information on our rentals to callers and visitors
- Ensure guest cards are complete, entered into RealPage, and follow-up is completed for all prospects
- Accumulate traffic information from various sources and prepare a consolidated report
- Maintain awareness of local market conditions and trends by performing market studies quarterly
- Create social media content and newsletters
- Maintain strong customer relations and assist current residents with tenancy-related requests
- Provide support to the Assistant/Property Manager as needed
- Audit all tenant files
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Two to four years related experience or equivalent
- Strong customer service skills: manage difficult or emotional customer situations; respond promptly to customer needs; solicit feedback to improve service; meet commitments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, WI CCAP, TransUnion, and various rental search websites (RealPage experience a plus)
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
- Well-organized with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals
