About the role

The Learning Support Coordinator supports the mission of Catholic education by ensuring that all students in grades K–8 are given the opportunity to grow academically, socially, and spiritually. This role is responsible for coordinating learning support services, collaborating with teachers and families, and providing targeted academic and executive functioning support to students with diverse learning needs.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Cook up and oversee learning support services for students in grades K–8
  • Provide direct academic and executive functioning support to students individually and in small groups
  • Support students with needs related to attention, organization, time management, working memory, and self-regulation
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop and implement appropriate classroom accommodations and instructional strategies
  • Aid teachers in understanding and supporting diverse learners within a general education setting
  • Develop and monitor learning plans, accommodations, and progress for students receiving support
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, strategies, and supports
  • Collaborate with administration regarding student needs, services, and program development
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and diocesan guidelines
  • Participate in meetings with parents, teachers, and outside service providers when appropriate
  • Support a positive, inclusive school culture rooted in Catholic values

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Special Education, Educational Psychology, or a related field preferred
  • Valid state certification in Special Education or related area required
  • Experience working with elementary and middle school students (K–8)
  • Strong background in supporting students with executive functioning needs
  • Knowledge of differentiated instruction, accommodations, and intervention strategies
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to the mission and philosophy of Catholic education

Additional information

  • This is a 10-month position aligned with the academic calendar
  • Some summer hours are required for planning, coordination, and parent meetings

Pay
