Learning & Organizational Development Coordinator
About the role
The Learning and Organizational Development (L+OD) group at Thornton Tomasetti focuses on enhancing the growth and development of staff through various programs and platforms. Our responsibilities include overseeing and moderating learning programs, administering mentor matching and continuing education processes, and supporting learning management systems.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and moderate the bi-weekly Thornton Tomasetti University/Essentials webinar program, organizing Learning Coordinators across offices.
- Administer the twice-yearly Mentor Matching program and the ongoing AIA continuing education accreditation process.
- Provide support for L+OD programs such as Project Management Training and onboarding, including logistical support, data management/analysis, program communications, and coordinating meetings/events.
- Manage content in the firm-wide Workday learning management system, troubleshooting employee inquiries, uploading and removing courses, managing vendor relationships, tracking employee training completion data, managing instructor-led training, and coordinating campaigns.
- Support participant groups within career-development coaching programs.
- Complete other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Master's degree in education or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in learning and development or a related field.
- Effective communication (written and verbal), collaboration, cultural awareness, emotional intelligence, adaptability, development of trusting relationships, and professional presence.
- Strong organization and time management skills, attention to detail, and ability to make decisions independently.
- Proficient in data management/analysis and with Microsoft productivity applications.
- Experience in a professional services firm and/or administering learning management systems preferred.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in learning and development.
- Experience with learning management systems and webinars.

Pay
The rate for this position generally is $70,000 - $80,000 annually. This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the Illinois State Pay Transparency Law. It is based on what a successful Illinois State applicant might be paid and assumes that the successful candidate will be in Illinois State or perform the position from Illinois State. Similar positions located outside of Illinois State will not necessarily receive the same compensation. Actual pay rates may vary from the range, as permitted by Illinois Equal Pay Transparency Law. Compensation offers will be based on various factors, including operational needs, individual education, qualifications and experience, work location and comparison to employee already in the role, as well as other considerations permitted by law.
