About the role

The American Indian College Fund is seeking a Learning Experience Designer to join our People Operations team. This hybrid position based in Denver, Colorado, focuses on designing and developing rich, engaging, and scalable learning experiences for the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct gap analysis and collaborate to develop clear and measurable objectives and metrics, tying learning to business outcomes for various audiences.
  • Consult with stakeholders, subject-matter experts, facilitators, and leadership regarding learning methodology, instructional design principles, and learning data to inform design.
  • Dedicate to integrating multiple channels in a fresh and inventive way, including instructor-led, experiential, and self-paced learning methods.
  • Create innovative, comprehensive curriculums and certification programs, utilizing advanced design/development techniques, such as generative AI, and tools of adult learning theory.
  • Select the appropriate level of measurement for new programs and design measurement tools (e.g., certification process), and update content as needed.
  • Oversee and manage instructional design projects, ensuring timely completion of tasks, adherence to deadlines, and effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Maintain project documentation, assets, auditing criteria, compliance regulations, and intellectual property guidelines for internal and third-party resources.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of instructional design experience
  • A strong portfolio showcasing work
  • Experience with animation, graphics, video, and e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Rise & Storyline, Easygenerator, Adobe Creative Cloud)
  • Experience with immersive and interactive experiences such as video, simulations, gamification, AR/VR, and in-person facilitation
  • A focus on the learner journey and user experience (UX) by integrating accessibility and inclusivity principles
  • Experience with building scenario-based learning experiences and/or simulations
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and other educational technologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A creative and innovative mindset with a passion for creating impactful learning experiences
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Experience with L&D consulting

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instructional Design, User Experience, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • Nonprofit or start-up experience
  • High or hypergrowth experience
  • Personal and/or professional lived experience in Native Indigenous communities

Pay

$64,500 - $79,600 per year
