Learning & Development Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Learning & Development Specialist to support new hire onboarding and training for both Customer Service and Claims teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instructor-led virtual training sessions for new hires.
• Facilitate onboarding programs covering Customer Service and Claims fundamentals.
• Train employees on system navigation, business processes, and basic workflows.
• Create an engaging learning environment for adult learners.
• Utilize Microsoft Office tools to develop and deliver training materials.
• Absess learner progress and provide coaching and feedback.
• Collaborate with business leaders and subject matter experts to ensure training effectiveness.
• Support occasional onsite training sessions as business needs require.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of Learning & Development or corporate training experience.
• Experience delivering virtual instructor-led training (ILT).
• Strong facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
• Experience training adult learners.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Healthcare industry experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience in Customer Service or Claims processing (experience in either area is acceptable).
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment and report onsite at least once per month.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have experience facilitating engaging virtual training sessions, strong communication and presentation skills, and preferably a background in healthcare, customer service, or claims operations.

Skills

• Experience with Luminex or similar healthcare claims/customer service platforms.
• Experience supporting onboarding and new hire training.
• Knowledge of healthcare operations, customer service workflows, or claims processing.
